The Lost Ones: Embers Rising
A slow-burning fantasy that trusts its readers. The world-building is patient, the grief is real, and the last hundred pages earn every ember they set alight.

Wings of Fire: The Dragonet Prophecy
Five dragonets, one prophecy, and a plot that never stalls. It’s sharp, funny, and surprisingly big-hearted — the rare series opener that leaves you reaching for book two immediately.

Wings of Fire: The Lost Heir (Book 2)
This is one of my favorite books in the series for many reasons. It holds a special place in my heart, for this is the book that I started reading Wings of Fire on. I thought the first book looked a little boring, and boy was I wrong, but this one is definitely more exciting than the first. It is somewhat of a murder mystery book with a kind of plot-twist ending that spirals down into more exciting events. It’s packed full of action and drama, and the dialogue in this book is easy to read — pick up the book to find out. I love this book for many reasons because it takes a look into Tsunami’s brain. Tsunami is my favorite character out of the entire series. She’s a fierce princess who is amazing at fighting and stands up for her friends, and in order to keep the only remaining royal SeaWing egg alive, she guards it and finds out something mysterious along the way that finally reveals who’s been killing the eggs all this time.
